{"id":3888,"date":"2026-05-07T08:55:56","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T07:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nafs.ps\/en\/?p=3888"},"modified":"2026-05-07T08:55:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T07:55:56","slug":"redeem-2-youth-exchange-for-climate-justice-in-izmir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nafs.ps\/en\/2026\/05\/07\/redeem-2-youth-exchange-for-climate-justice-in-izmir\/","title":{"rendered":"RE:DEEM 2 \u2013 Youth Exchange for Climate Justice in Izmir"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From April 17 to 25, we implemented a youth exchange as part of the RE:DEEM 2 &#8211; Reach &amp; Engage: Youth Decolonising Environmentalism in EuroMed project, in partnership with our Italian and Turkish partners, with the Turkish partner hosting the activities in Izmir.<\/p>\n<p>This project represents the second edition, building on the first cycle implemented in 2024 under the RE:DEEM youth participation activity. It continues to address climate justice through a critical lens, exploring the intersections between climate change, colonial legacy, and social justice. Each partner engaged 6 young participants, aiming to raise awareness, foster shared understanding, and promote sustainable and responsible practices across the Euro-Mediterranean region.<\/p>\n<p>The experience was immersive and enriching, offering valuable opportunities to better understand the local context of the host community, and to engage directly with local stakeholders and participating youth, who warmly welcomed and supported us throughout the week.<\/p>\n<p>The project was co-funded by the European Union\u2019s Erasmus+ Programme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From April 17 to 25, we implemented a youth exchange as part of the RE:DEEM 2 &#8211; Reach &amp; Engage: Youth Decolonising Environmentalism in EuroMed project, in partnership with our Italian and Turkish partners, with the Turkish partner hosting the activities in Izmir.
