The whole room turned red.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The first scream was inside her head before it reached her lips.<br \/>\nThe ceiling collapsed on top of them, dust filled the air, and the darkness turned into a storm of debris and terror.<br \/>\nRahab remained trapped beneath the rubble, surrounded by stone, blood, and fear.<br \/>\nShe tried to move her hand nothing.<br \/>\nTried to see her siblings only trembling shadows.<\/p>\n<p>While the minutes crawled unbearably slowly, the ambulance was nowhere to be seen.<br \/>\nThirty whole minutes passed each one as heavy as a lifetime.<br \/>\nWhen they finally reached her, Rahab was bleeding from her hand, leg, and head.<br \/>\nHer face, covered with dust and blood, still carried the fragile innocence of a child who couldn\u2019t understand why places of sleep are bombed.<\/p>\n<p>After treatment, her leg was casted, and stitches were placed in her hand and head.<br \/>\nA month later, her body healed\u2026<br \/>\nbut her heart did not.<br \/>\nThe fear left behind was deeper than the wounds, heavier than the night of the explosion itself.<\/p>\n<p>And yet\u2026<br \/>\nRahab refused to stay broken.<\/p>\n<p>When she joined the programs of NAFS for Empowerment, she was still terrified of sudden sounds, withdrawing from others, and crying without knowing why.<br \/>\nBut there\u2026 she played. She ran. She painted. She talked.<br \/>\nShe learned to release the weight she carried silently.<br \/>\nShe learned how to calm her heartbeat when memories of that night returned.<\/p>\n<p>With a smile shaped by the resilience of survivors, she says:<br \/>\n\u201cThank you to NAFS for Empowerment\u2026 I played, I laughed, and I learned how to overcome my fear.
