Saja Iyad Qdeih… a child carrying a dream bigger than her pain

At just thirteen years old, Saja is living through a loss that completely changed her world. She lost her father in the early days of the war, after he left her grandfather’s house to buy some necessities and never returned.

Recalling those moments, Saja says:
“When they told us… it felt like time stopped. We cried a lot and didn’t know how to go on.”

Despite the weight of her loss, Saja chose to turn her grief into strength. Today, she carries a dream that keeps her connected to her father:
“I want to become a doctor and treat people for free… for his soul.”

She smiles shyly as she speaks about the change she felt after participating in activities with Nafas for Empowerment:
“They changed my mental state so much… and helped me get out of the atmosphere of the tent. Thank you to everyone who stood by us.”

Today, Saja is not just a child who lost a parent; she is a story of patience, strength, and a dream that continues to grow despite everything.
