A specialized training course on psychological stress and self-care related to psychosocial burnout was conducted from 11 to 15 January 2026 over four intensive training days, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen professional capacities in the field of mental health and psychosocial support.
The training was implemented in cooperation with the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture (TRC) and was led by trainer Mr. Nasser Matar, with the participation of 52 school counselors from the Ministry of Education representing the governorates of Nablus, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Salfit, Jenin, and Tubas, reflecting a wide geographical representation and diverse professional experience.
The program focused on building an in-depth understanding of psychological stress, its forms, and its impact on individuals and education professionals, alongside introducing self-care concepts as a core component in preventing burnout and occupational stress.
In addition, the training addressed prevention and psychological protection strategies, coping mechanisms in high-stress environments, and strengthening resilience and psychological hardiness, contributing to improved staff well-being, enhanced professional performance, and the sustainability of high-quality psychosocial services within educational settings.
