The nafs Empowerment team implemented psychosocial support activities for adolescents in Al-Amal Camp – Khan Younis and Al-Shaer Camp – Mawasi Rafah, as part of the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Prevention Program, targeting the 12–17 age group.
The activities focused on providing a safe space based on mutual respect, active listening, and acceptance of differences. Through simple interactive tools such as introductory activities, games, and photo analysis, participants were given the opportunity to freely express their emotions and engage in healthy emotional release within a supportive environment.
Adolescents demonstrated a notable level of emotional awareness and maturity in dialogue, with a clear ability to transition from playful interaction to meaningful discussion while respecting diverse perspectives. Their positive engagement reflected a genuine willingness to continue participating in safe and supportive spaces.
These activities highlight the importance of creating psychologically safe environments that contribute to strengthening mental well-being and building solid foundations for psychosocial support.
