As part of the “Afaq Al-Taafi” (Horizons of Recovery) project, and in partnership with Americares, a recreational activity was carried out at Al-Amari Basic Girls School, run by UNRWA. The event targeted 70 young female students.
This initiative served as a safe and supportive space amid a daily reality that weighs heavily on childhood. It aimed to create an interactive environment that restores a sense of joy and reassurance, while supporting emotional release and enhancing social and emotional skills.
Through purposeful games, interactive exercises, and group activities, the students engaged enthusiastically in a day filled with joy and connection. The activities were designed to meet their psychological and emotional needs and foster internal support networks within the school setting.
Such psychosocial initiatives are a fundamental pillar in the recovery journey within marginalized environments. Education alone is not enough without the parallel presence of psychological care that listens to what remains unspoken and rekindles hope in young hearts growing up under profound challenges.
