In the Presence of Pain, We Create a Space for Life

Amid the harsh and relentless reality faced by the children of Gaza a reality that weighs heavily on their young souls the Nafs for Empowerment team carried out a psychosocial and recreational activity at Al-Karama Camp, located in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, for children who have been forcibly displaced.

This initiative aimed to create a safe and nurturing space temporary yet profoundly real to ease the psychological burden these children carry. It offered them a rare moment to laugh, to play, and to simply breathe outside the daily scenes of devastation.

Though the war has stolen much of their childhood, their spirits still possess the capacity for joy. At Nafs, we believe that psychosocial and emotional support is not a luxury, but a vital necessity in the face of genocide and profound suffering.

From their resilience, we draw motivation. From their laughter, we gather strength to continue our work in safeguarding what remains of our collective humanity.
