As part of the “Afaq Al-Taafi” (Horizons of Recovery) project and in partnership with Americares, a recreational activity was carried out at Silwad Girls’ Basic School, operated by UNRWA. The activities targeted 200 female students.
The event aimed to provide a safe and supportive space for children, giving childhood a chance to thrive once again, away from daily stressors. The recreational day included interactive activities that contributed to emotional release, enhanced feelings of safety, and fostered the social and emotional skills of the participants.
Such initiatives form a fundamental pillar in the path of supporting children’s mental health in vulnerable environments and open pathways toward sustainable recovery that considers their psychological needs in the face of a harsh reality that continues to weigh heavily on them.
