The board of directors of the Nafs Empowerment Association held its annual conference with active and significant participation from the general assembly members on Monday, May 6, 2024. The session was inaugurated by Dr. Ibrahim Musa, the chairman of the board, who addressed the difficult conditions faced by our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, highlighting the role of Nafs Empowerment in providing psychosocial support services for children and their families in refugee centers. He expressed gratitude and appreciation to all the teams working in the field, especially in the West Bank and Gaza, for their outstanding efforts and dedication.

Subsequently, Mr. Mohammed Mahajneh emphasized the importance of documenting social and humanitarian stories to document their conditions, livelihoods, and resilience on their land, to serve as an inspiring beacon for future generations. Mr. Nasser Matar, the general manager of the association, then spoke about the activities of Nafs and its branch in Gaza, praising the efforts made to develop the association and the relationships forged to enhance construction and development.

The floor was then opened for discussion on the administrative and financial reports that were approved, followed by an expansion of the discussion and presentation of ideas involving program coordinators and the secretary, Mr. Shadi Za’tara, who highlighted the importance of projects being implemented under his supervision and their positive impact on the Palestinian people. The discussion concluded with thanks to all attendees for their active role in building the association and developing its psychological, social, and humanitarian projects.
